Our school is situated in the north part of Slovakia, in the hilly region of Orava. Primary school is attended by pupils from 6 to 15 years. Nowadays, there are 9 classes (grades), with 156 pupils together. The kindergarten is also important part of our school for children 3-6 years old.

The school is very close to the values of the Euromosaica project. Besides teaching of regular subjects, one of the part of the school curriculum is regional education. Therefore the pupils can learn and recognize the traditions, customs, crafts and culture of their region and they are prepared to learn more about the culture of other countries. Currently we also engage in projects with environmental themes. Our school has been awarded as The Eco School.

Our primary school was involved in the international projects called Comenius several times a few years ago.

Very specific part of our school curriculum is dramatic education. We also have drama club (DDS ÚSMEV). Many of performances have participated in several national and international competitions.
