Åžehit Erhan TaÅŸtimur Ä°lkokulu

Primary school

Åžehit Erhan TaÅŸtimur Ä°lkokulu is a public primary school in Adana, Turkey. We have more than 900 students and 32 teachers. We have 26 classes from 1-4 grades and 4 classes for kindergarten. Our teachers are mostly primary school teachers. We have 3 English teachers, 4 kindergarten teachers and 1 counselor. Our students have different family backgrounds. Some of them are refugees from Syria. Because of the different backgrounds, our school is a good example of inclusion and diversity. The aim of our school is to guide our students to be successful, confident and hardworking.  We want them to be good citizens, so we plan our curriculum to reach that aim. We teach English as a second language from 2nd grade to 4th grade. To improve our students language skills, we involve them to eTwinning and Erasmus+ projects. Our teachers also improve their skills and gain experience with these projects.
